It’s time for action! Our Club members are gearing up for the biggest event of our Rotary year, and they need your help. Volunteers are needed to serve on the teams that are tasked with creating a very successful event.
Our major fundraiser will take place February 13, 2016 at the Salem Convention Center. Christian Bryant, Director of Fundraising, has done a wonderful job of building the team structure needed to create success. The problem is, too few Rotarians have signed up to be part of the teams. At tomorrow’s meeting, we’ll hear about an upcoming vote. Salem-Keizer Transit has filed a ballot measure to appear on the November 2015 ballot to implement an employer payroll tax of 0.21 percent to fund transit operations on evenings and weekends. The measure is estimated to raise $5,000,000 in the first year. Salem-Keizer Transit and the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will present their respective views on the ballot with allotted time for audience questions.
Don’t forget, we’re at the Willamette Heritage Center!
